Gluecom nv (formerly Demcopack Davis NV) is the new name of the company created through the merger of Demcopack Davis NV and Merckx NV in 2000. Both companies have a long expertise in formulating and producing glues. 

Demcopack Davis was created in 1975 and since 1979 produces jelly glues - based on natural proteins - for the paper and board converting industries, in particular for the graphic and the packaging industries. Since then, it became the European market leader and trend setter in this niche segment. Additionally, Demcopack produces resin based glues and hot melts for the named industries. 

Merckx NV was created in 1938, first as a distributor of accessories for the woodworking industry. Since the sixties, the company focused more and more on the development and production of dispersion glues for all kinds of industries, such as the building industry, woodworking, paper and cardboard converting, general industry etc. 

Both companies will keep on using their own names, which are in their market segments a synonym for competitive and high quality products with an excellent client service.       

Together with their sister company Ace Adhesives  (Birmingham, UK), Demcopack Davis and Merckx form Gluecom, a group of glue expert companies under the same shareholding structure, that cooperate and reinforce each other, without losing focus on their own markets.
